"The Chris Holter Women First Award" will go to the film which portrays the most positive women's story dealing with issues of self-worth, inner strength and personal empowerment. "The Chris Holter Film Visionary Award" will go to the film (or media projects) which reflects The MadCat Women's International Film Festival mandate, an innnovative, provocative and visionary work that is original in its use of the medium, and which challenges the use of sound and image to explore and expand notions of visual storytelling.
